Tonight, Live only on Pay Per View, Tonight we have the biggest card ever in the World Wrestling Federation History here at Summerslam. All of our titles will be on the line uncluding the HUGE main event, where WWF World Champion Shane Douglas will take on WWF Cup Champion Ken Shamrock. Let's go back two show show highlights of two matches where these men met. (Highlights from Febuary 18th, 1998, where Douglas beat Shamrock cleanly) (Highlights from WWF Cup action where they battled to a double countout.) Bobby Heenan - The former champion Ken Shamrock is out for revenge against Douglas, who is a two time champion. This is also a Triple Threat Street Fight. One hell of a match is expected. (Highlights from Raw is War August 5th, the Nation/Horseman brawl) Bobby Heenan - Another Huge match has the Nation (Rocky Maivia, The Giant, Chicago Express and Stevie Ray) taking on the IV Horseman (Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Christian Cage and Booker T). These two groups have battled for the past two weeks and they are not going to let up and I expect a huge brawl. Howard Finkel - This match is for the World Wrestling Federation Light Heavyweight title. It is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Nuremberg, Germany, the challenge, he is "Das Wunderkind" ALEX WRIGHT!!!! His opponent, accumplynied to the ring by La Diabolica, he comes to us from Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, the WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, El Hijo Del DIABLO!!!!!!!!! WWF Light Heavyweight Title Match El Hijo Del Diablo w/La Diabolica (champion) vs. Alex Wright Alex Wright blocks a vertical suplex and then gives Diablo a back heel kick and then a back suplex. Diablo gets up and clotheslines Wright to the ground and then whips him to the ropes. He misses a clothesline and then Wright misses a kick, but connects with a jumping elbow thrust. Alex Wright goes for a slingshot splash, but Diablo moves and Wright lands on the ground. Diablo puts Wright in a Boston Crab. Wright gets to the ropes. As Wright gets up Diablo nails him with a clothesline. Wright gets whipped to the ropes but he gives Diablo a spinning headscissors. Alex Wright kicks Diablo three times. Alex Wright went for a front facelock, but Diablo gave him a low blow. Diablo shoulderblocks Wright down and then hits a senton for the 1....2....3. El Hijo Del Diablo wins, and retains the title. El Hijo Del Diablo pinned Alex Wright after a senton in 0:05:51. Rating: 1/4* (El Hijo Del Diablo retained the WWF Light Heavyweight Title.) Jim Ross - What a very entertaining match as Diablo was able to keep the title from Alex Wright in this match up. Wright had his chances but Diablo was able to finish him off with a senton, and Wright goes back to the showers without the gold. Bobby Heenan - Diablo was all over Alex Wright, and I thought it wouldn't be as easy as it was. Up next we have a match that was just signed a couple of days ago, on Raw, when Snow, won the chance to face Storm for the Intercontinental Title tonight. WWF Intercontinental Title Match Devon Storm (c) w/Dawn Marie vs. Al Snow w/Head Al Snow quickly goes to the advantage giving Storm a vertical suplex and then a springboard dropkick. Snow went for an arm scissors, but Storm bodyslammed him to the mat. Storm goes for a slingshot facesbuster, but Snow counters with a small package for a two count. And then he hits an Asai Moonsault. Al Snow runs off the ropes but Storm hits him with a shoulderblock. Storm then hits him with a jumping side kick. Storm goes for a frankensteiner, but Al Snow hits a tiger driver. Al Snow hits a superkick and then a spinning headscissors. Al Snow hits a German Suplex for a two count. Al Snow hits a Snow Plow but Dawn Marie puts Storm on the ropes. Al Snow looked mad, but he continued hitting a spin kick on Storm. Snow hits a spinning leg lariat and once again Marie puts Storm's foot on the ropes. Dawn Marie then attacks Snow with a chair causing the DQ. Al Snow defeated Devon Storm by disqualification in 0:11:57. Rating: ** 3/4 (Devon Storm retained the WWF Intercontinental Title.) Jerry Lynn w/Raven vs. Stevie Richards Lynn attakced Raven as soon as he enterewd the ring and knocked him down. Richards then comes back and gives him an Asai Moonsault and then a slingshot facebuster. Richards goes to the second rope and hits an elbowdrop. Richards then was all over Lynn. Lynn had no chance and Richards pinned him after a Thunderclap Brainbuster, Devon Storm's finisher. Stevie Richards pinned Jerry Lynn with the Thunderclap Brainbuster in 0:07:47. Rating: **** X-Pac vs. Primetime w/Francine X-Pac was all over Primetime and kicked him several times in the first 30 seconds. Primetime sends X-Pac off the ropes, and Francine trips him. When he got up, Primetime hit a clothesline. X-Pac chops him and then gives him a spinning leg lariat. Primetime rolls to the outside. X-Pac follows. Primetime throws X-Pac to the ring steps. Francine gives him a bat and he nails him with it. Back in the Ring, Primetime gives him a vertical suplex but, X-Pac comes back and starts chopping him, but Mankind comes down and distracts the referee. Franchine comes in and gives X-Pac a low blow and that allows Primetime to hit the Death Valley Driver for the victory. Primetime pinned X-Pac with the Death Valley Driver in 0:13:09. Rating: * 1/2 WWF World Tag Team Titles Match The Blue Meanie & Super Nova (c) vs. Raven & Blackman Raven and Meanie start off. Raven quickly puts Meanie in a front facelock. Meanie tags out to Nova. Nova gives Raven a powerslam. Blackman comes in and he and Raven double team Nova with a double clothesline. Raven slams Nova hard to the mat and tags out to Blackman. Raven and Blackman give him a double dropkick. Blackman gives Nova a backbreaker and then locks him in a armbar submission. Nova gets out and tags Meanie in. Meanie slams Blackman and gives him a splash. Meanie tosses him to the outside and then Raven attacks him on the outside. Blackman reenters the ring and tags Raven in the ring. Raven gives The Blue Meanie the Evenflow DDT and they win the tag team titles. Raven's Flock (Blackman and Raven) defeated The Blue Meanie and Super Nova when Raven pinned Meanie with the Evenflow DDT in 0:16:27. Rating: * (Raven's Flock (Blackman and Raven) won the WWF World Tag Team Titles.) Falls Count Anywhere Match Mankind w/Francine vs. D-Lo Brown D-Lo Brown starts off the match with a jumping DDT. Brown whips Mankind into the corner and chops him twice. Mankind blocks D-Lo's punch, and counters with one of his own. Mankind whips Brown to the ropes and gives him a shoulder- block. Brown, then kicks Mankind in the gut four times. Mankind hits a Tombstone and then a powerslam for a two count. Brown begs off and then gives Mankind a thumb to the eye. Mankind is then whipped to the ropes by Brown and Mankind hits a flying lariat, knocking Brown down. Mankind goes for a clothesline, and misses. D-Lo bodyslams Mankind and goes for the Low Down. Mankind brings his knees up. Mankind then goes to the outside and gets a road sign. Mankind tries to hit him but he misses, and then D-Lo grabs it and nails him with it. Mankind is bleeding. Brown runs off the ropes and Francine trips him. Mankind then knocks Brown out of the ring. Mankind hits him with a fire extinguisher. Mankind knocks Brown into the ringpost. Mankind tosses him into the ring. He gives him a DDT onto a chair and then a Mandable Claw for the submission victory. No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match Mankind made D-Lo Brown submit to the Mandible Claw in 0:09:04. Rating: ** 3/4 Match for Revenge Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Taz Austin gives Taz a forearm right off the bat. Austin punch is blocked and Taz punches him. Taz goes for a clothesline and misses, and then Austin hits a clothesline and gives Taz the finger. Austin punches Taz and then puts him in the abdominal strech. Austin then gives Taz a vertical suplex. Austin runs off the ropes but Taz gives him a backdrop. Taz locks him in an armbar leglock submission. Austin slams Taz. Then Austin gives him a backbreaker. Austin then gives him a piledriver. Austin goes for a lariat but Taz gets him in a crucifix. Taz then gets him in a leg lock submission. Taz goes for a bodyslam but Austin gives him a facerake. Taz then clotheslines Austin down and gives him a front facelock. Austin gets out of it and then kicks Taz in the gut and then a Stone COLD STUNNER!!!!! 1........2..........kickout. WHAT!?!?! Taz just kicked out of the Stunner. Austin then clothesline's Taz down and then gives him a legdrop. Taz gets up and gives him a German Suplex for a two count. Taz gives the sign for the Tazmission, but he comes over and Austin gives him the STUNNER!! and no getting up from this one, as Stone Cold wins the match. Steve Austin pinned Taz with the Stone Cold Stunner in 0:14:22. Rating: ** 1/4 8 Man Tag Team Match IV Horseman (Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Christian Cage & Booker T) vs. The Nation (Rocky Maivia, The Giant, Chicago Express & Stevie Ray) Booker T wanted Stevie Ray to start off but it was the Rock. Booker T whips Rocky to the ropes and gives him a clothesline. Rocky then punches him. The Rock went for a bodyslam but Booker T countered it with a small package for a two count. Rocky tags out to Chicago Express. Booker T tags Benoit in. Rocky and Chicago Express give Benoit two double bodyslams. Chicago gives Benoit a hedlock takedown. Chicago dominated Benoit. The Giant came in and Choke Slammed Benoit. The Chicago hit a German Suplex for the victory. No-Time-Limit-Match The Nation (D-Lo Brown and Rocky Maivia, Chicago Express and The Giant) defeated IV Horseman (Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Christian Cage and Booker T) when C. Express pinned Chris Benoit after a German suplex in 0:03:13. Rating: * WWF World Heavyweight Title Match - Triple Threat Street Fight Shane Douglas (c) w/Francine vs. Ken Shamrock (WWF Cup Champion) A battle of the titans of sort. The World Champion vs. The WWF Cup Champion. They start to fight in the back of the arena ANYTHING GOES! Douglas nails Shamrock with a ring bell. Douglas then gives him a Belly-to-Belly Suplex on the concrete. Shamrock kicks out. Shamrock then gives Douglas a Frankensteiner. He gets a two count. They are in the arena stairway. Shamrock gives Shane Douglas a legsweep. Douglas tries the Belly-to-Belly Suplex but Shamrock gives him a facerake. They are on the second floor. Shane Douglas throws Shamrock down to the first floor. Shamrock gives Douglas a single-leg takedown and then he hits him with a baseball Bat. Douglas then grabs the bat and hits Shamrock with it. Douglas gives him a back suplex. Shamrock hits a Frankensteiner for a two count. Douglas rolls him up and he gets a two count. Douglas tosses Shamrock into the arena wall. Douglas goes for a bodyslam, but Shamrock counters it with a small package. 1......2......thKICKOUT, so close. Douglas is bleeding. Douglas gives him a vertical suplex. They are on the first floor. Douglas nails him with a chair. He has him in a Sleeperhold and the ref checks Shamrock's arm. He lifts it... it falls. He lifts it... it falls. He lifts it... it falls. IT IS OVER! Shane Douglas retains the title in one hell of a match.
